Total beginner

Okay y'all, I know I'm not even close to being good at decorating, but I'm giving it a go.

My first project was the mantel. I was so SICK of seeing an empty space above our fireplace, I just had to fill it. I think it turned out pretty well, I'm still not 100% but I am liking the progress! What do you think???

Ryan built me a potters bench and I love it! I'm growing basil, chives, and parsley. Gotta start off small!

Now this project, makes me extremely proud! I'm doing a photo collage in my living room and so far it is turning out GREAT! Here are a couple of frames I've crafted.

This was bought in Gburg but it fits perfectly!

Here is an awesome snag I picked up in Gatlinburg over Labor Day weekend!
I bought the cushion from Pier 1, cost more than the chair!

It's a GIRL!

The Hintz Family has added a new addition...

Meet Lucy
She is part Beagle and part something else, we aren't sure. What a CUTIE!
Here are some awesome picture we captured of her playing in the yard. Enjoy!

We need to fix what?

Our insurance agent called a couple days ago telling us we needed to have a couple shingles fixed on our new home before the paperwork can be completed. So we did what any pre-owner would do and went to Lowes! We picked up some shingles (which we thought matched), roofing nails, and some roofing glue? Totally thought this would be a quick errand... not the case. The ladder and high angle of the roof was the tricky part. :-) All in all it took about 2 and a half hours out of our day, but if I do say so myself, Ryan did an awesome job on his first "construction job"!

If you can look past the ridiculous pose my husband is doing, you can see the 7 and a half missing shingles.
Love him...

Hard at work!

All done! There is a small discoloration but nothing to stress over.

Country Chic? Yes, please!

I have been on the computer for days looking for the perfect living room colors. These rooms are absolutely to die for...

I LOVE LOVE LOVE BLUE! I really believe it will be one of the main colors in our living room.

Yellow/white is so refreshing.

Any thoughts on how to get the perfect country chic look at a reasonable price?

Crossing our fingers

A couple of weeks ago, my husband and I, made an offer on this cute little house. It is bank owned, and that can always seem a little fishy. Wondering what happened and why, but everything seems to check out great! We are playing a waiting game here, and it is making me tremendously nervous. I'm getting a tiny bit ahead of myself because I want his blog to be about defining our house, all of the painting, decorating, remodeling, and ect. Now that I have the blog, all I need is the house!
